Food Safety Certification

Certified Professional Food Manager

Attend this one-day class of four hours instruction and two hours of testing to become a Certified Professional Food Manager.  Power point, discussion, and handouts prepare students for the two-hour, Prometric, standardized test of eighty-plus multiple choice questions in the afternoon.  The class and test, given by proctor Sharon Christensen, CEC, includes a 133 -page study manual by the National Environmental Health Association, available to students upon registration and receipt of fee for the class. Test results, with 70% passing, are mailed to students several weeks following the test date.  Wallet size and framing size certificates are awarded those who pass.  This certification is recognized in any state of the United States of America, and is required by local Environmental Health officials to be posted, on site, in all commercial kitchens.
